When finished, the deer is roughly 7-8 cm (3.15-4 inches) tall if you take the same yarn
You need for work:
Yarn.
- Alize merino royal fine.
- Kid mohair Vento d’italia
- Alize Angora gold. The metric area of you yarn can be varied in a range from 170 to 225 m in 50 g (for body and jacket). If a thread is thin, you can mix and knit with two threads. You can knit a jacket with any yarn. The yarn gazzal baby wool and alize baby wool will suit well.
- To decorate the sweater and the sleeves I used the fluffy yarn Alize Softie.
- For nose and antlers I used Alize Miss (brown)
- Double pointed needles 4 pcs 1,5 mm. I was knitting nose needles 1 mm, if you have the same - use them, if not, knit nose needles 1.5 mm.
- Stuffing. Synthetic fluff or hollofayber.
- White chenille wire for a frame of the legs. (if you have no wire, you can make the legs without frame)
- Eyes-beads or eyes with stalks (I have the second one)
- Transparent moment glue or a glue for a fabric. (if you sew the eyes and nose, than you will not need a glue)
- A device which help to insert a thread in a needle.
- A sewing needle, a piece of black thread, pins, 2 pcs.
- Hooks 1 mm и 1,5 mm ( The hook 1 mm for antlers). The hook 1,5 mm for enlighten the process of knitting the decreases.)
- Oil pastel for tinting of a toy.
- A thin brush.
- A piece of white thread to decorate the eyes.
- Scissors.
