Christmas Elf
Using this pdf pattern you too can create your very own Christmas Elf.
The pattern is written in English terms, and is clearly set out, with photographs to aid the more complicated sections.
The majority of the pattern is worked in double crochet stitches, in the round. Finished doll is approximately 35cm from foot to top of hat, though this will vary depending on they type of yarn and hook that you use.
This is a list of the yarns used for this particular elf. Of course, you can use other yarns, and the results will be just as nice, it’s that I prefer this particular brand as I like the finish it gives. You can also use different weights of yarn, the basic pattern will be the same but there will be a difference in size. Just a note, that cotton yarns work best, as they don’t bobble afterwards, but acrylic yarns work, and probably wool, though I haven’t tried that. When using this particular yarn the finished item measures approximately 35cm from toe to tip of hat.
