Christmas Gingerbread Men
These cute little Gingerbread men have their own wardrobe of festive clothes.
You can make your own gingerbread men then knit them a stripy elf hat and waistcoat or a warm bobble hat and scarf.
You can sew the clothes in place and add a hanging loop to create decorations or leave the clothes removable for quick costume changes!
Their heads, bodies and legs are knitted flat in one piece. Simple increases are used to shape the tops of the arms. The arm stitches are then slipped onto stitch holders whilst you knit the body and legs.
I guide you through every line so confident beginner knitters will be able to make these decorations. I’ve even added a photo tutorial to show you how to make mini pompoms.
Placement stitches show you exactly where to position the eyes and full alternative instructions are included for embroidered eyes/ buttons.
Size-12cm /4.5”- Just the right size to hang on your Christmas tree.
Check the recommended needle size for your yarn and use a needle 1 size smaller.
This will give a close textured stocking stitch which will hold its shape well when stuffed
