Christmas Gnome
This quick knit little gnome will add a bit of fun to your Christmas decorations, imagine him peeking out from behind the presents under the tree.
He stands 9 inches/23cm high and is knitted flat using DK yarns and 3mm needles through out.
The pattern is clearly written, easy to follow and has many photos to help you along the way..
Materials needed
50 grams red
25 grams green
Less than 10 grams white
Less than 5 grams black
Less than 5 grams flesh or pale pink
Scrap of bright yellow
Scrap of metallic gold yarn (optional)
Pair 3mm needles
Natural stick or wooden skewer
Fiberfil
Abbreviations used
K = knit
P = purl
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Ss = stockinet stitch (one row knit, next row purl and repeat)
k2tog/p2tog = knit/purl the next two stitches together (decreases one stitch)
Inc1 – knit into the front and the back of the next stitch (increases one stitch) Please note if you use any other method than this, your stitch count will not work out.
