This tree skirt can be made in two different sizes (small and large). Both sizes also have the option of either a narrow or wide central hole accommodating the narrow poles of small artificial trees or wider trunks of real fir trees.

This pattern was designed using Paintbox Yarns 100% Wool
Superwash worsted but other worsted weight yarns can be used.

Yarn amounts are given for a small skirt, amounts for the large skirt are written in square brackets -

265g 520g of worsted yarn in 3 colors for the hats.
245g 620g of worsted yarn in either white, cream or grey for the beards.
35g 70g of worsted yarn in a flesh or light beige for the noses.
Crochet hook size 7 (4.5mm)
Needle for sewing on noses and weaving in ends.
Small amount of stuffing for noses.

Gauge is not essential but using Paintbox Yarns 100% Wool

• Small with narrow opening:
11.75in high x 9.75in wide
(30cm high x 25cm wide)
• Small with wide opening:
10.25in high x 9.75in wide
(26cm high x 25cm wide)
• Large with narrow opening:
16.75in high x 13.75in wide
(43cm high x 35cm wide)
• Large with wide opening:
15.25in high x 13.75in wide
(39cm high x 35cm wide)

Diameter of skirt minus beards
(including hole at centre) -
• small: 25.75in (66cm)
• large: 36.25in (92cm)

Diameter of central hole:
• narrow opening: 2.5in (6cm)
• wide opening: 5.5in (14cm)
