Skill level: Intermediate

Materials:

• Yarn: any cotton yarn you prefer (weight: #3/ light/ DK), one skein in each of the following colors: green, red and white. Suggested yarn: D.M.C Happy Cotton, 0.7 oz (20 g), 47 yards (43 m).
• Crochet hook, size E (3.5 mm).
• Fifteen round beads, 1/4 inch (5 mm) in diameter, and one star bead for the tree. The beads I had were black, so I painted them with gold nail polish.
• One mini white pompom: I tried making one with cotton yarn, but it turned out very stiff and not fluffy. So I remade it using a 75% acrylic, 25% wool yarn following this easy video tutorial. Use a 6” (15 cm) long piece of yarn to tie the pompom but do not cut the excess.
• Tapestry needle.
