“Christmas in June Socks” honors a group of women in the community that use to meet every other weekend to give away, exchange, or sell beautiful beads. They created lovely handmade garlands and ornaments for Christmas decorations.

The second Saturday in June marked the official countdown to the craft fair after Thanksgiving. Once the Fair begun, the line to buy one of their lovely pieces was always out the door. Worth it.

The stitch texture resembles a single-strand jewel garland wrapped around the leg and instep. The pattern is constructed cuffed down using the magic loop method. The Christmas in June Socks can be knit from the toe up with magic loop or four to five double-pointed needles. The pattern is intermediate beginner and available in three adult sizes. It also includes thorough instructions, a schematic, and how-to links.
