Christmas Jumper Day jumper
Help to celebrate Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day (Charity day - UK) by knitting a jumper for a toy to wear. Links provided in the pattern.
This jumper will fit a Dot Pebbles’ Rabbit Doll - pattern available on Ravelry https://ravel.me/rabbit-doll or a Mrs K’s Pocket Mouse - pattern available as part of the Christmas Jumper pattern.
Available to download to your device until the end of January 2024 - you can print the pattern or read it straight from your device.
This pattern has been designed as a budget make & can be made from scraps of 2-ply yarn. If you don’t have any scrap, you can buy small quantities of yarn such as crewel yarn / mending yarn so you’re not paying for yarn you won’t use. The mouse is made with small amounts of 4-ply yarn & any colour / scraps you have to hand will be just right.
Instructions are written in English for you to make a perfect hand-made present for a child over 3 years old and includes lots of photos & handy hints to help you make your pocket mouse.
The patterns are a ‘next step’ for knitters - the sort of patterns I would have loved to have when I was 8 or 9 - a chance to practice more than knit & purl in quick to finish projects.
The jumper is a simple, one piece design: sleeves are made by casting stitches on, then off the main body of the jumper & the neck hole is a simple buttonhole - again, made by casting off & on.
Stitches used & Abbreviations
