This is a pattern to create a beautiful string of lights…one for each of the 25 days of Christmas! The bulbs are just large enough to accommodate a small gift box…a perfect hiding place for little treats!

There are instructions for knitting the I-cord, but that is optional. For those who don’t knit or who don’t like DPN’s you could certainly substitute the pre-made cord of your choice.

The 25 numbers can be embroidered on the bulbs or written on the gift boxes…the crafty possibilities are limitless!

Because this pattern is so portable it works up in no time! You can use any worsted weight yarn for this project…a perfect way to use up your ends.

I kept an F hook and a little worsted in my purse and thanks to the inordinately long wait at our Urgent Care center, public school and the Flu I was able to knock my calendar out in no time.
