Christmas Mitten Ornament
A fast and fun ornament that will be a great addition to the holiday and the opportunity to use leftover yarn. Use as an ornament for the tree, stuff the stocking for an addition to a gift or even use as a place setting for the table.
The amount of yarn suggested is for two contrasting mittens. .2oz of two colors will be needed to complete. Each mitten will take about 25-30 yds of yarn total.
This project is worked flat in one pieces and seamed at the end. The thumb is worked in tandem and bound off before the rest of the mitten body is completed in order to minimize the amount of ends to weave into the project.
Materials Needed:
- Two 0.2 oz (30 yds) of contrasting fingering yarn
- Size US 2 double pointed needles
- Tapestry Needle for darning and stitch overlay
Pattern has been designed for Red Barn Yarn Farm located in Saint Joseph, Missouri and is available for all to enjoy.
Happy Knitting!
