These mitts are made in fingering weight sock yarn. The pattern is charted with separate charts for the child’s size.
You can make a ladies Lg and child’s Lg from 2 50g balls of yarn. (one in each colour)
The pattern for the gauge is the cuff pattern, so there is no need for a gauge swatch. Just knit up the cuff check, your gauge and if it’s correct knit on if not you only have to rip out the cuff and adjust. The sizes are varied by the gauge. There is a sizing chart in the pattern download.
