Christmas Morning mittens are a 56-stitch version of my previously published fingering weight version “Christmas Eve Mittens”. I designed them to provide a wider range of sizing for that popular design. For more information on sizes, see notes below.

Materials
• US 2 ½ (3mm) set of dpns or circular needles for Magic loop method
• DK 150 yards / 50 grams: approx. 220-225 yards/72-75g total:
• Tapestry needle

Gauge: 14 sts x 14,5 rows = 2” x 2”

Notes

1. Size: The mittens are 56 stitches in the hand part and 75 rounds long (without ribbing). For adult size mittens use sport (for small) or DK/worsted for medium/large. For adult XS/teen use fingering or light fingering weight.
2. Stranded colorwork: Follow the charts from right to left. Make sure to catch longer floats using preferred method.
3. If desired, use duplicate stitch technique to add details in additional colors of choice, see page 9 chart for reference.
