Depending on the model and size of your sofa, you can change the length of the organizer. But it may not be necessary. To prevent the organizer from rolling down at its base, a loop is made along the edge, into which you need to insert a stick. But if the seat of the sofa fits snugly against the armrest, you may not need a stick (my organizer holds well without it). If the upholstery of the sofa is textile, then the knitted fabric of the organizer does not slip on it.
You can choose any yarn. In my case, this is 300 grams of Egyptian cotton and about 30 grams for pockets. For pockets and Christmas trees you can use matching yarn leftovers from past projects.
