The Advent season has already begun and the annual Decorations are fetched from the basement or from the attic. But you could crochet your own Christmas decoration this year.

Through the detailed upper layer of the star the lower one shines through. Both are crocheted separately and joined together in the final round. Thus it’s not the classic, made of one piece, complicated overlay crochet technique. My version of the overlay crochet star is easy to crochet and looks really good.
