The vest is worked from the bottom up. The colorwork pattern is partly knitted while some details are made by duplicated stitc embroidery. The box-shaped body is knitted in the round, while the front and back yoke is knit back and forth with decreases to shape the arm holes and the neckline. The shoulder straps are knit separately. The straps are joined before you pick up stitches for ribbing at the arm holes and neck line.
