Christmas Pig
Meet the Christmas Pig! I will be giving these pigs to my grandchildren for Christmas, they are cream/white with sparkly silver glitter-glue eyes (the pigs that is!).
They only take about an hour to make from start to finish.
The design was inspired by Chichester the Pig
by Helen Apocalypse. It is such a clever construction idea, simplifying things so that there is minimum sewing-up at the end.
I love it, Chichester Pig is CUTE! but being from a farming background I wanted the pigs I gave my grandchildren to be a bit more realistic, so I have adapted Helen’s brilliant pattern.
For the large size, about 5.5”, 14cm, use Aran weight.
Medium, 4”, 10cm, use DK.
Small, 3”8cm, use 4ply.
Knitted with 2 needles in one piece to save on construction time.
I have included some photos to help you along the way.
I am always eager to improve my patterns to make them fun and relaxing to knit, so I welcome and value any comments you have for improvements.
I would love to see any pictures you have of your finished pigs and piglets.
Have fun!
