My Christmas Pot Holder set is written in standard crochet terms. Amount on yarn needed depends on how big you crochet and which brand of cotton yarn you choose to use. My pot holders are approximately 6” across when finished. You can choose to use acrylic yarn for these pot holders if they will be used strictly for decorative purposes, however, if you use them then the cotton yarn holds up much better to heat.
