Make it your own with an alternative fruit or cream stitch pattern to suit the wool you have chosen and create a bespoke and one-of-a-kind cardigan. Some examples of alternative stitch patterns are included with the pattern.

The pattern is written for double-knitting weight wool and uses 3.25mm and 4mm knitting needles for ages 0-6, 6-12, 12-18 months and 18 months - 2 years, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8 years.

The pattern includes:

• Easy to follow written instructions about how to make the cardigan and a list of materials required

• a gallery of alternative stitch patterns that could be used for the fruit

• an example of an alternative cream edging that could be used (shell cast on)

• additional details about how to sew up the cardigan to achieve a neat finish, plus details of how to create a fully-fashioned seam

• a photo tutorial on how to complete a stretchy rib cast on (an alternative to casting on using the thumb method)
