This pattern makes a coaster with an attached snowflake, especially suitable for Christmas time.

It is adaptable for different yarns with two slightly different snowflake designs.

The coasters pictured used DK/light worsted weight yarn for the hexagon.

The snowflakes were in either DK weight or fingering weight.

Gauge is not critical and should be normal for what ever yarn is used.

The coaster will be about 4 inches (10cm) across depending on the size of snowflake.
