It’s that time of year again when we have the perfect excuse to get Festive with our crochet projects!

This pretty Christmas set is all about the Christmas Spirit associated with the ancient Nordic Spruce that we have at the heart of our cosy living rooms and overseeing the cheer of the season.

Worked in tapestry crochet and dk or light worsted weight yarn, this simple rug and hook holder graph pattern is perfect for a beginner to tapestry crochet and creates a festive set for display at Christmas time. Make as many as you need, in as many different colours as you can imagine and fill your home with festive accessories this Christmas!

The pattern is suitable for those new to crochet, but if you love crochet, I’d encourage you to join in and have a go at learning something new anyway!

WHAT YOU NEED:

You will need a main colour, contrast colour and your crochet hook!
I used 1 ball of cream DK for the main colour and 1 ball of Black DK for the contrast colour - you’ll have plenty left from a 100g ball of each.

You will also need a 3.5mm ( E ) crochet hook.
