Instructions are written for size 10 bedspread weight cotton thread, but a finer or slightly heavier weight thread may be substituted. “Gauge doesn’t really matter that much; your stars can certainly be a little smaller or larger without changing the overall effect.” Back cover says “For a Daintier Look, Use Size 20 Thread”.
