This is a nice simple pattern for a medium sized stocking (approx. 30cm from toe to cuff and about 12cm wide).

The pattern is for a 3 striped stocking, but it is easily adaptable for any colour combination and at the end of the pattern are ideas for colour variations, plus how to make the star and tree motifs to add to the stocking.

Included in the pattern are plenty of easy to follow instructions as well as lots of photos.

I’ve also included a photo tutorial on how to achieve a neat join, rather than just joining with a slip stitch, which I find can be quite messy in these types of projects.

Worked in UK terms but only uses double crochet which is easy to convert.

I used a 4.00mm hook and DK yarn.
