This is a crochet pattern for a jumbo sized Christmas stocking, perfect for using as a gift sack for lots of presents.

​The pattern is worked using tapestry crochet colourwork and includes visual graphs as well as full, easy to follow, written colour changes for each round.

This pattern is written using US terms and includes a chart to convert into UK terms. I have used photographs to help with instructions throughout. A printer friendly version and visual box graphs will also be included.

​I have used DK weight Acrylic yarn with a 4mm hook. This gives an approximate size of H:20” top to heel, L:11” heel to toe, and W:9.5”.

You can make the stocking even larger by using different yarn weights and hook sizes. Use this guide for approximate sizes:
DK/Light Worsted & 4mm hook = H:20” x L:11” x W:9.5”
​Aran/Worsted & 5mm hook = H:22.5” x L:12.5” x W:11”
​Chunky/Bulky & 6mm hook = H:25” x L:14” x W:12.5”

You will need:
DK yarn (approx. 130g/420yds of Red or main colour & 90g/300yds of White or secondary colour)
4mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors
