Christmas Stockings and Toys
I thought these are a fun idea for Christmas, something a little different. The stockings can be kept safe and brought out every year to add to your family traditions, Christmas in my house is all about tradition and I like to include old ones from my own parents and grandparents and add new ones that hopefully my boys and grandchildren will pass down to their children.
The stockings, heads and toys are knitted flat. The heads are assembled and then stitched to the stocking before it has been sewn up. The toys are also knitted flat and assembled. I promise they are very easy with the minimum amount of assembly. I have included a step-by-step guide to help you, should you need it. Because the guide is full of photos it is a good idea to only print off the pattern direction and save the guide to view on screen should you need any guidance, you will save a lot of ink that way ☺ Nearly forgot to say that wrap and turn is necessary to create the heel of the stocking but because it’s knitted flat it is really simple and I have included photos to help explain the procedure and also a link to a very good YouTube video if your prefer to watch. The stockings are knitted in Aran/worsted weight yarn.
