Knit our Teddy in Christmas Hat Jumper suitable to fit a child from birth to 3 years old.

Design
The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline and one shoulder has a 3 button fastening to make it easier to lift the jumper over the child’s head. A chart is provided to complete the motif.

Sizes
The pattern includes sizes: 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-9m, 9-12m, 1-2yrs and 2-3 years old. To fit chest: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22 inches or 31, 36, 41, 46, 51 and 56 cms.

Yarn
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply)
The picture shows the jumper knitted for size 9-12 months using Stylecraft Special DK shades: Turquoise (1068) and White (1001), Red (Lipstick 1246), Black (1002), Light Brown (Walnut 1054) and Dark Brown (1004).

Tension
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
