This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet Christmas Tree Advent Calendar that can be hung on the wall & decorated to count down the advent. You can also create a reusable gift bag or table runner to help celebrate Christmas!

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a rectangle that’s approximately 20” wide x 30” tall, not including the optional tabs at the top for hanging.

If using medium weight #4 yarn, you will need approximately 6.2 oz of the background color, 2.5 oz of the tree color, .5 oz or less of the lettering color, and just a few yards of the trunk & star colors. The total weight of this project is just under 9 oz.
