This pattern (US terms) will guide you to crochet a set of Christmas Tree oven mitts as shown in pictures, made using sport weight cotton yarn and crochet hook G (4 mm). They will be made by working 2 strands of yarn, held together.
Parts in this pattern, will be worked in continuous rounds, as well as in rows.

Due to the original design for the thumb, this oven mitt is suitable for your right hand, as well as for your left hand.
The finished size of the oven mitt will be approx. 10.3” x 5.9” (26 x 15 cm).
Cotton yarn by Scheepjes Catona was used to create the oven mitts in the pictures.

Approx. Gauge: 5 sc = approx. 1” (2.5 cm)
Skill level: intermediate

Materials used:

• crochet hook size G (4 mm)
• for a set of 2 mitts; cotton yarn in green (approx. 220 gram, 603 yds, 550 m), dark brown (approx. 25 gram, 70 yds, 63 m), red (approx. 7 gram, 20 yds, 18 m), yellow (approx. 5 gram, 14 yds, 13 m), small amount in white
• stitch marker, tapestry needle (sharp tip), pins, 2 white buttons diameter 0.4” (1 cm)

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, surface slip stitches, bobble stitches, increasing, decreasing
