Christmas Tree Wreath
This pattern includes instructions on how to make and decorate the tree, how to make the wreath cover (to fit any sized wreath base) as well as how to assemble the finished wreath.
This pattern is 8 pages long and contains photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English using American crochet terms.
You will need:
Chunky yarn in a colour (or colours) of your choice for the wreath cover - The pattern will explain how to make the wreath cover the correct size in any yarn. I used 127m of chunky yarn.
Green dk or aran weight yarn for the Christmas Tree (this is equivalent to either light worsted or worsted weight yarn). I used 50m of Patons DK Smoothie yarn.
A small amount of yellow dk or aran weight yarn for the star on top of the tree. I used 1.3m of Patons DK Smoothie yarn.
Suitable sized hooks for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 5mm hook with the chunky yarn (for the wreath cover) and a 4mm hook with the dk yarn (for the Christmas tree & star).
A 25 cm flat-backed polystyrene / styrofoam wreath base.
Any beads, craft bells or sequins that you would like to decorate your tree & wreath with. I used 23 small metal bells on the tree and some star shaped sequins on the wreath.
A small amount of toy stuffing to go inside the tree.
Your decorations can be attached to the Christmas tree or wreath with a length of matching thread, or with some invisible nylon thread if preferred.
A tapestry needle (the longer, the better).
You may find it useful to have some long nosed pliers (for pulling the needle through the wreath).
Other tools you will need are some scissors and some pins.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
