Christmas Wreath
This is a pattern for a colourful Christmas wreath. It is ideal for using up any leftover bits of yarn, but also it is great if you have a particular colour scheme in mind.
There are lots of photos and handy hints to make completing each piece as easy as possible.
The main stitch used is double crochet (UK terms), and there is one tiny part which requires half treble crochet.
The pattern is based on a wreath which is 10inches/26cm in diameter, with a circumference around the wreath of 7inches/18cm. However, should you not have that exact size of wreath, I have included some tips on how to make some of the items a slightly different size, to fit in with whatever size wreath you have. And covering the wreath is very easy, so finding the perfect fit shouldn’t be a problem.
You will need:
- 4.00mm & 3.50mm crochet hooks
- DK Yarn - I have used a mixture of Stylecraft Special DK, and some other cheap yarn from Boyes and Home Bargains.
- Polystyrene Wreath (essential!)
- Scissors, Darning Needle, Fabric Glue (optional), Decorations (also optional).
