The yarn size and the hook I have used:

• 2 mm Crochet Hook
• Fine Mercerized Cotton Yarn in 2 different colors (white and green), calling for 2mm hook
• Darning needle, scissors and some stitch markers (optional)
• Small beads and some thin ribbon (optional)

MEASUREMENTS
By using fine cotton yarn (18 wpi) and the 2 mm hook the measurements of a granny square should be: approximately 7 cm x 7 cm, or 2.7’’ x 2.7 ‘’

SKILL LEVEL
This pattern is designed for beginners, even though there are some color changes. Do not let the appearance scare you, the pattern is simple, just needs a little bit of work.
Basic crochet stitches required: single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, slip stitch and crochet though back loops only.
