I hadn’t seen a door wreath that I really liked so I decided to create one of my own in 8 ply yarn. This project is completed in stages, the first being the covering for the wreath shape. I made up my six bunches of holly leaves and berries, then sewed them in place. This project was so successful I gave friends and family their own individual wreaths for Christmas. You can make your own with your favourite colours or with leftover scraps.

This pattern uses basic stitches so most knitters could knit this wreath. Sewing is required to assemble the wreath. Use 8 ply yarn for the sewing.

Yarn required-
1 x 50g Main colour and smaller amounts of 3 contrast colours.

Extras needed -
Polystyrene wreath 200mm & 30mm thick or something a similar size e.g. wood etc.
Wool needle
