18 sts and 26 rows = 4” in patt; 21½ sts = 4” in Rib patt, lightly stretched. Take time to save time, check your gauge.

Notes
Both shrugs are worked flat in one piece from the bottom up using a longer circular needle. Short circular needles are used for each sleeve and corresponding front stitches. Once enough length has been worked to make it easier to place all stitches on the same needle (approx 1½“), all stitches are placed on the longer circular needle. The neckband is joined and knitted in the round.
