Chromodoris // 2-color Brioche Cowl
I was on the beach mostly while I was working on this cowl. The sea is really amazed me with its full of inspirations. Chromodoris is inspired by mystical creatures living in the depths of the ocean, especially sea slugs which have very colorful skins and wavy bodies. The name of this cowl, Chromodoris is coming from one of a genus of this fabulous creatures.
Chromodoris is worked in the round with 2 color brioche technique. Colors are alternating in every row. I-cord cast on is worked with the contrast color in the beginning. The cowl has a wavy bottom edge because of brioche increase and decreases. The cowl gets narrower as work continues and in second section a repetitive brioche pattern is worked to the end of the cowl. It is finished with an I-cord bind off technique.
