An advanced beginner level pattern for a gorgeously chubby Cardinal plushie. While the stitches used are easy, their application requires attention to detail. This is a perfect pattern to take your crochet skills to the next level! The finished amigurumi is approximately 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide.

Materials needed:

• Worsted weight acrylic yarn (red, orange, and black). I used Caron Simply Soft in Autumn Red (55 yards), Pumpkin (5 yards), and Black (2 yards).
• Size G crochet hook, 4.00mm
• 9mm black safety eyes
• Yarn or Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Polyfil stuffing

Stitches/techniques used in this pattern:

• Magic ring
• Chain stitch
• Single crochet
• Half-double crochet
• Double crochet
• Triple crochet
• Double-triple crochet
• Increasing and decreasing
• Slip stitch
• Working in the Front Loop and Back Loops
• Joining new thread
• Weaving in ends
