Meet Doris! She’s a chubby hen who may have a blind spot or two right in front of her - you’ll have to excuse her bumping into walls - but she makes up for it in being cute!

Materials

• Yarn: worsted weight yarn of desired color, less than a skein’s worth each.
• Crochet hook 3.50 mm (US size E)
• Embroidery floss: black and white
• 12 mm plastic safety eyes (x2)
• Stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker or contrast color yarn

If you use these materials, the size of the finished chicken is about 4” wide and 4” tall.

Difficulty: Advanced beginner

This pattern is great for advanced beginners and beyond. While this is a straight forward pattern, it assumes you have basic crochet knowledge and have some familiarity with amigurumi staples, like the magic circle, and common stitches like single crochet, half double crochet (U.S. version), double crochet, increase, and decrease.
