BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF CROCHET SKILLS IS NEEDED.

~ THIS PATTERN HAS INSTRUCTIONS FOR A KEYCHAIN, CAR/BAG CHARM, OR PLAIN OPOSSUM ~

what you will need:
yarn ~ WHITE, GRAY, PINK, BLACK
hook size to match yarn weight
stitch marker
polyfil for stuffing
scissors
yarn needle
safety eyes
keychain ring if making opossum into a keychain

abbreviations:
st(s) ~ stitch(es)
mr ~ magic ring
ch ~ chain
sc ~ single crochet
hdc ~ half double crochet
dc ~ double crochet
ss ~ slip stitch
inc ~ increase
dec ~ decrease
rpt ~ repeat
rnd ~ round
sk ~ skip
pc ~ popcorn stitch (link provided)
F/O ~ fasten off

notes:

  1. this pattern is worked in continuous rounds & US terms
  2. I use the yarn over technique, using a different way may throw sts off
  3. I use the invisible decrease technique
  4. rpt means to repeat for the whole rnd unless otherwise specified
  5. I used :I Love This Yarn” in all colors
  6. I used a size “E” hook
  7. I used size 10mm eyes
  8. there are 3 options for the tail ~ keychain, car charm, & basic tail
  9. pick & make tail options first
  10. pay attention to the pc st ~ use 3 dc for legs & 5 dc for ears
  11. there are 2 options for eyes ~ safety eyes or “X” eyes, both done in same spot
  12. this is a no-sew pattern
