Please note that this is not a finished product. This purchase contains a PDF file with instructions (18 pages) on how to crochet this toy. The file will be available for download immediately after your purchase (this email might get lost sometimes, so if you do not receive it, please send me a message and I will give you a direct link to download the pattern). All steps are documented by detailed description and step-by-step photos. The pattern also includes videos, where I will crochet the whole plushie with you.

Prior experience with crocheting is recommended for this project. However, I believe that with enough determination it is perfectly doable by beginners as well. All stitches are explained by provided video tutorials. The pattern has a no-sew design, so it is a great project for those who dislike sewing like me.

The pattern is available only in English.

SIZE

If you use the recommended yarn and hook size, the finished toy will be approximately 27 cm tall (10.6 inches). Totally, you will make approximately 3000 stitches and it will take you about 5-10 hours.

MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES

  • Chenille yarn. You will need these colors:         - White (e.g. Himalaya Dolphin Baby 80301) - 80 - 110 m (90 - 120 yards). Depending on your crochet style, one skein of the yarn should be enough.          - Black (e.g. Himalaya Dolphin Baby 80311) - 55 - 80 m (60 - 90 yards)          - (Optionally) Green (e.g. Yarnart Dolce 797) - small amount for the bamboo stalk
  • Cotton yarn. You will need two colors:         - White (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania 80301)          - Black (e.g. DROPS Daisy 03)
  • Hooks sized 5 mm (US I/9, UK 6) and 2.5 mm (US C/2, UK 12)
  • 150g of soft stuffing material (e.g. PES fiber ball stuffing)
  • Two black safety eye pins Ø 15-20 mm
  • Long embroidery needle, scissors
