Chugach
The twisting cables of this hat design were inspired by the glaciers meandering out of the moun-tains in the Chugach National Forest in Alaska. This is a great unisex design that will look great worn either fitted or slightly slouchy.
Notes: Instructions are written for a hat that is worked in the round. The hat is sized for either a fitted or slightly slouchy fit. Charts are provided on the last page.
Suggested Yarns: ~170 (185) yards of worsted weight yarn such as The Plucky Knitter Snug Worsted, The Plucky Knitter Cachet, The Plucky Knitter Primo Aran, Anzula For Better or Worsted, Miss Babs Yowza- Whatta Skein!, YOTH Yarns Big Sister

Size US 7 (4.5 mm) or size to obtain gauge either DPNs or circular needles
Size US 5 (3.75 mm) or one size smaller than used to obtain gauge, either DPNs or circular needles

Gauge: ~20 sts and 32 rows = 4” over st st on larger needles
