Chunkimals are an “easy” crochet pattern that should take a novice crocheter 2-4  hours to complete. Customize your Chunkimals to be baby-safe by embroidering on eye details and skipping the bean bag option.  

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Yarn: Worsted Weight Yarn (Cascade 220)
Hook: US size 3.5mm (E).
Polyester Fiberfill

Notions:
Straight Pins
Stitch Markers
Large Steel Tapestry Needle
Scissors
9mm plastic safety eyes with plastic backings (for children 3 and older)
Black embroidery thread or black yarn (for stitched eyes)

Optional: Two 4” pieces of cotton fabric, plastic pelts (or dried beans) and fabric glue or sewing thread to make a beanbag.
