This chunky Aran cable cowl works doubly hard as a cosy headband. Knit seamlessly in the round; the headband is quick to knit up, and the cabling is straightforward and suitable for those new to Aran knitting.

The pattern details how the headband/neckwarmer can be modified in width and length. Gauge is not hugely important with this project. I would suggest knitting it with a slightly smaller needle than your yarn calls for if you tend to have a loose gauge, as some stretch is needed.
