A super simple hat and mitt set, perfect for a beginner who has mastered casting on and off, knit, purl and a basic make stitch by picking up loop.

Both the hat and mitts are worked flat, so there is some basic sewing up required too. I have figured out a really easy way to form a thumb for the mitts and have included a few photos/images to illustrate the method.

Two sizes included for the hat, one size for the mitts. I will be updating the pattern to include sizes for children age 0-5 years.

THe yarn used to develop the pattern was Rowan Big wool, it uses just two balls of yarn for the hat and mitts.
