This chunky button cowl is a beginner crochet pattern. It’s an updated take on a classic stitch - the granny square - making it fast and easy to work up. Various lengths and decisions on colour choices means this project can be customized easily. This pattern would probably work well with worsted weight yarn (#4) as well, though it has not been tested in it. This pattern makes for a great on the go project as it’s easy to remember once established, or as a last minute gift. Find some chunky yarn to play with and get hookin’!

Using a solid colour, varigated yarn, or using complimentary shades, like the sample product, will produce a unique item each time it’s made.

Supplies:
Yarn: ~130 yards in bulky (#5) yarn for the smallest cowl size. Larger sizes will use more yarn.

Notions: 4 1 1/8” (28 mm) buttons, yarn needle for weaving in ends.
