A really simple and chunky pattern for a cabled headband. It is an ideal pattern for anyone new to cabling as with the large needles and easy cables you can see exactly what is happening as you go.

I have written into the pattern the selvedge so as to give the headband a uniformed finish.

Gauge is not important, it all depends on how chunky you like your headband :) similarly any chunky yarn will work as long as you can work it on 9.5/10mm needles! It should take less than 1 skein of wool, I am fairly certain I have made 2 or even 3 from one skein!
