This pattern is for a simple, chunky and cabled hat and beanie. Both the hat and beanie are knitted in the round for a seamless finish (much more comfortable to wear) and have decreases that maintain the cable pattern all the way to the crown. The fold back brim on the hat adds extra warmth for ears on cold winter days.

The black/white /grey yarn is Stylecraft Life chunky.
The multi coloured yarn is James C Brett Marble chunky.
The Blue is Patons Inca

Finished Size:
Adult fits up 58cm head comfortably and Larger Adult fits up to 62cm head comfortably.
The size is easy to alter.

The pattern is written in a line by line format. Skills needed are the knit stitch, the purl stitch, knitting two stitches together, slip slip knit, knitting in the round and cables.

Tension/Gauge
Ball band tension/gauge: 14 stitches 20 rows on 6mm needles. I have used both thicker and finer yarns by deducting/adding pattern repeats.
