This Chunky Crochet Hat pattern includes a full written pattern and photo tutorial for both Chunky/#5 and Super Chunky/#6 yarns.

The pattern is very easy to adjust to fit any head size, and you also have the option of finishing it as a messy bun hat as well as a regular hat!

Construction

• This hat is crocheted from side to side, so you are crocheting the ribbing and the body all at once
• Each row tapers at the top of the hat to make it easier to cinch in at the end
• To finish, the edges are seamed using the mattress stitch

Adjustments

• As the hat is worked side to side, it is very easy to adjust the circumference - just crochet a few more rows!
• The hat can easily be finished as a messy bun hat by leaving the gap at the top open
