This pattern requires two colors of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Quick & Thick yarn, one dark and one light color. The dark color used in this example was Charcoal, and the light color was Slate. These yarns are generally available at most craft stores in a variety of colors. Unlike many hats, this pattern is not knit in the round. It is great for a beginner using straight needles.
