This pattern is for a chunky hat with simple cables that are created using the frontpost double crochet stitch. It also has a stripe at the end that is created by crocheting into the horizontal bar of the previous row’s stitch. This gives the hat even more dimension.

The pattern is very simple but produces a very textured design!
