Chunky Horseshoe Cable Hat
Autumn is all about cosy knits and autumn leaves, this cable knit hat gives a soft, warm, and stretchy hat with a beautiful, intricate cable design. Pom-poms are all the rage and add a great flare to your project, alternatively this hat works well on its own as a slouchy beanie.
I like to add a little extra length to my hats to get a slouchy look, you can adjust the length of your hat to make it as long or as short as you are comfortable with. I have highlighted in the pattern instructions where you can alter the length of your hat.
This pattern uses knit, purl, and cable stitches and is knit in the round. I like to knit in the round as that means no seams to sew but, if you prefer to knit flat and then sew up the seam, you can use regular knitting needles just make sure to purl the even rows.

1 x 5mm, 40cm circular needles
