I had this vision in my head of a chunky, split brim, sack hat with the cat stitch, and just had to make that vision a reality! I think this turned out super cool, and you can do the sack hat or a round top option with a pom pom or two. I hope you enjoy this pattern!

Pattern includes two sizes: Child and Adult.

Since it is meant to be a looser beanie, instead of fitted, it will fit the following sizes:

• Older Child 8-12 years, Teen/Small Adult, Average Adult, and Large Adult.

In inches:

• Child Size fits: 18-19.5 inches head size.
• Adult Size fits: a 20-23.5 inch head size.

This is a super easy and fast pattern!

Materials:
– Any size 5 yarn will probably work, but for my Hat, I used Loops and Threads, Charisma Bulky (5) in Black (84 yards) and Dragonfly (52 yards) for the adult size. Approximately 80 Yards Black and 48 Yards Dragonfly for child size. Each size took less than one skein of each color.

– Size L/11-8.00mm (Boye) Crochet Hook for the brim and a M-13/9.00mm (Susan Bates) Crochet Hook for the body.

– Large Tapestry Needle

-Optional Pom Pom for Rounded Top Option
