THE MARKET BAG

I LOVE hand knit bags especially chunky ones. They’re thick, durable and cute. For this project I used my super chunky 3 ply 100% Andean Highland Wool in Ivory, but use what’s available to you. This bag is knit flat, bottom up in panels and then seamed together using a mattress stitch.

The 100% Andean Highland Wool is not a superwash wool, so take extra care washing it. I recommend a handwash (with a gentle detergent like baby shampoo), squeeze water out and lay flat to dry. Since it is not a superwash yarn, never put it in the dryer as it will felt.
